Reports have emerged that Dr. Nandipha Magudumana’s father has been arrested, allegedly on the same day as his daughter's arrest in Tanzania. TimesLIVE reports that the father of the disgraced doctor was brought in for questioning on April 8, and it is speculated that police are looking to see if the father can share any helpful information on Thabo Bester's escape from Mangaung Correctional Centre in 2011.

This arrest follows police minister Bheki Cele's media briefing where he states that both Thabo Bester and Dr. Nandipha Magudumana could not possibly have acted alone on this escape which has gripped the world.
“We believe that the doctor herself could not have done it alone – this thing of keeping him safe and all that running. But if police are part of a cover-up, then we will find them. But I believe that a big portion of police, they just try to do their work and fly below the radar.”
However, ENCA reports that not only is her father being interrogated, Nandipha's entire family which includes her mother and brother.

The plot continues to thicken on this case. Thabo Bester and Nandipha were arrested in Tanzani for allegedly being in the country illegally. They were also apparently using fakes names.
Tweeps have had enough of people saying Nandipha is innocent in this entire crime.
Sunday World reports that the police are in search of missing bodies after the couple's housekeeper's body was allegedly buried in the yard, following the two fugitive going into hiding.
"Sunday World understands the police started searching the couple’s multi-million rand property in Hyde Park, Johannesburg from Tuesday after it emerged that the body of a domestic worker was allegedly buried in the yard. Police sources who are close to the investigation alleged that they embarked on the search operation after it appeared that the maid had disappeared." reports the publication.
"We are doing this operation to establish the fact that the maid went missing. We are following all the leads in this regard. We have sniffer dogs and our forensic team working on this, and even on Wednesday we are still going to investigate. We are going to dig at this yard and also let our sniffer dogs help us get to the bottom of this" said the police source to the publication.
Reportedly, Police National Spokesperson Brigadier Athlenda Mathe said: “As the SAPS, we are reiterating that we will not, at this stage, give a blow-by-blow update on the progress of investigations. We once again urge the media to give the detectives space to do their work"
