While the South African Police Services (SAPS) and other government entities are on a search for convicted Facebook rapistThabo Bester and his partner, Dr. Nandipha Magudumana. Reportedly, there is another search for a 'buried' body at the couple's deserted rented mansion in Hyde Park, Johannesburg.
Reportedly, the police have turned things upside down at Thabo Bester and Dr. Nandipha Magudamana's rented mansion, which they now have fled weeks ago. It is believed that the police search is for a housekeeper which has gone missing but was last seen or heard of in the house.
According to Sunday World, the police believe that the housekeeper's body was allegedly buried in the yard, following the two fugitive going into hiding.
"Sunday World understands the police started searching the couple’s multi-million rand property in Hyde Park, Johannesburg from Tuesday after it emerged that the body of a domestic worker was allegedly buried in the yard. Police sources who are close to the investigation alleged that they embarked on the search operation after it appeared that the maid had disappeared." reports the publication
A police source closest to the investigations have also revealed that this investigation is to establish the missing maid's body.
"We are doing this operation to establish the fact that the maid went missing. We are following all the leads in this regard. We have sniffer dogs and our forensic team working on this, and even on Wednesday we are still going to investigate. We are going to dig at this yard and also let our sniffer dogs help us get to the bottom of this" said the police source
Reportedly, Police National Spokesperson Brigadier Athlenda Mathe said: “As the SAPS, we are reiterating that we will not, at this stage, give a blow-by-blow update on the progress of investigations. We once again urge the media to give the detectives space to do their work"
"Such investigation is sensitive, and it is our policy not to divulge our investigative techniques except to say we are investigating to get all the answers and hold those responsible accountable.” said Police National Spokeperson, Brigadier Athlenda
Tweeps have jumped on the bandwagon with speculations about the people who were also renovating the house. If of course the housekeepers body was indeed buried in the yard, tweeps are under the impression that they are more bodies which could also be found amidst the police search.
