It seems as though today is 'Emtee appreciation' day! Since the day started rapper Emtee has been trending for just making good, timeless music. The rapper is undoubtedly good at what he does but he has been clouded by some controversy and beefs and it looks like he has a new nemesis in the rap game.

Various tweeps including the disgraced record label Ambitiouz have been asking people which artist/music are the bumping to at the moment and Emtee seems to be on everyone's playlist. He does make good music though!

When he opened the floor for a debate with his question, "Who make better hooks than me?" rapper Flame came at him guns blazing. "I don’t have anything against Emtee guys. I’m jus sayin I don’t believe he’s a better artist than me as much as he believes I’m not."

It then became a debate on who is a better rapper between the two creative minds as awards and chart numbers have been questioned. Emtee clapped back by saying he does not want to compete with anybody, he just wants to make music and raise his children.

"I asked a simple question. WHO MAKE BETTER HOOKS THAN ME? Never said I’m better than anybody or compared myself to anybody. Yall lil boys carry on competing. I’m making music n raising my kids," he said.
Flame kept the clapbacks coming and dissed the rapper by saying his last hit song was in 2017, "Okay Emtee, your last hit was in 2017 ... what now? And FYI. I got 2 awards bro , and Ambitiouz ain’t bought them. They right here in my crib.  Work on your relevance, you slacking."

"Had a label push you yet I got more of catalog on the charts !! So much for a hit maker don’t you think," continued Flame.
Amid the ongoing twar between the rapper, Emtee also seems to be trending for his new single iThemba which means 'hope.' According to the rapper, he dedicates the song to everyone going through the most during lockdown. This single forms part of his upcoming album 'Logan' which is named after his second born son. He is continuing the trend of titling his albums after his kids as the first one was named Avery, which is the name of his first born.

He recently had to swallow his pride and apologise to the mother of his kids. This after he accused her of abuse,  "I’d like to apologise to the mother of my children, my wife Nicole. I hope you find it in your heart to forgive me. I love you Mrs Ndevu."
