Emzini Wezinsizwa’s Magubane passes away

Another Emzini Wezinsizwa actor has passed away. Shadrack Ngema, who played the popular eNyanga on the SABC 1 sitcom Emzini Wezinsizwa, died of a heart attack on Saturday, 5 December.

Ngema’s daughter, Duduzile Ngobese, told SABC news that her father had been feeling dizzy the day before, and then on Saturday the actor complained of a pain in his chest which lead the family to rush him to hospital.

He was heavily sedated, but later succumbed to his illness.

Ngema was also an Ukhozi FM sports commentator and acted on numerous Ukhozi FM radio dramas.

Ukhozi FM’s station manager, Bonga Mpanza, says Ngema’s untimely death has left a huge void in the acting and sports industry.

Three actors from the Emzini Wezinsizwa cast died in 2015. In July, Bafana Mlangeni, who played the character of Sibeko, died of diabetes in Soweto.

A few months later, Roland Mqwebu, who played the role of Bab’ Mkhize, passed away.

May their souls rest in peace.
