Katlego Danke, Nambitha Mpumlwana, and Sophie Ndaba are just some of the big names that were on Generations before it became The Legacy.

The stars, along with 13 other cast members, were all fired during their big protest in 2014. Among other things, the cast demanded better salaries and other benefits. Unfortunately, their demands were not met and they had to find other jobs.

Some of them didn't struggle to find employment after the saga. We look at where some of the actors are now.

Katlego Danke

The first-time mother seems to be doing just fine. She hosts Powerball on e.tv and she also shot a movie called Ziyanda, which is about human trafficking.

Speaking about the movie to Southern Eye, Katlego said: "It is sad that a lot of stories have been said in the world, but nothing has been done about human trafficking yet it is said to be an illicit multibillion dollar industry."

Zolisa Xaluva

After disappearing from Generations, Zolisa quickly found himself another job on Mzansi Magic's Zabalaza. Now that the show has been canned, we wonder what's next for the talented actor?

Zenande Mfenyana

The actresss, who played Noluntu on the soapie, is now working on e.tv's Ashes to Ashes.

The show, which is preparing for its second season, has received some rave reviews. It looks like people are really loving the work that Zenande and her co-stars are doing.

Nambitha Mpumlwana

One of Mzansi's most loved actors, Nambitha played Zenande's mother on Generations. After leaving the show, the actress also moved to e.tv's Ashes to Ashes. As we've said before, the show has had a great reception from viewers. Fans are eagerly waiting for season two.

Winnie Ntshaba

The actress is doing well for herself. When she's not on mommy duty, Winnie is out there doing major MC gigs, and making sure that the annual Royalty Soapie Awards run smoothly.

She also made her return as an actress on Mzansi Magic's The Road

Sophie Ndaba

Sophie had been on Generations for over 20 years before she was fired. Although she left the show, we doubt that people will ever forget her character Queen Moroka.

Sophie recently confirmed that she would be making her TV comeback soon. She told Move magazine: "I'm very excited about two projects that should be on screen next year. I have a prominent role in one. If you love Queen, you'll love her, but I really can't say much more about it."

Well then, we cannot wait to see her on our screens!

Slindile Nodangala

This actress was very popular after joining the top soapie. Fans still call her Mam' Ruby, the name of her Generations character. These days, if she's not on magazine covers talking about her weightloss, Slindile can be found on Mzansi Magic drama series Ya Lla.

Anga Makubalo

Mr 'Naaq Music' seems to have found his other calling - singing.

The media personality is doing quite well for himself in the music business. He is also on e.tv's Z'bondiwe and also co-hosts All Access on Mzansi Magic.

Menzi Ngubane

Who can ever forget Sibusiso Dhlomo? He was one of Generations' most ruthless and powerful men. While he was big on screen, Menzi also had some personal drama on the side. He went through a divorce and also had to deal with kidney problems.

But he finally had his happy ending after someone donated a kidney to him. Oh, and he also stars on Gold Diggers

Thato Molamu

Who knew that Thato would consider being a reality TV star? Yeah, we were also surprised when he told us that he will be staring in a show with some of his celebrity friends, which will air on YouTube.

He also had a hosting gig on SABC 2 and also stars on one of our favourite dramas, Umlilo.
