A close friend of his who did not want to be named told ZAlebs that he received a call at 8 pm, informing him that his beloved friend has passed on. He said Biggie was in ICU, and he suffered from heart failure.
“He was in ICU, and he suffered from heart failure, just before 8 pm a call came through to confirm his death,” said the source.
Another source said Biggie was rushed to hospital after he became sick, and he was then put on life support as he had water in his body, but his heart gave up.
Biggie’s friend Dladla Mshunqisi, took to Instagram this morning to express his shock and pay tribute to him.
“I’ve seen people losing friends but never in my wildest dreams did I think I’d ever loose you. Heaven has called you and I know that you’ve answered, but how can death not think how am I to carry on?”
“Since the frantic call came in telling me you are no more, my world came to a standstill, how was I supposed to go on knowing my journey has ended with you?” he wrote.
His family has not yet released a statement.
