Dr Malinga has had a life-changing couple of days, and it is all thanks to the contentious Podcast and Chill with MacG. Ahead of the now viral episode, the last time we heard about Dr Malinga was a couple of months earlier when a video was shared on social media showing all his possessions stacked as they were about to go on auction.

A fact that Malinga confirmed had happened a couple of months earlier before the sgaxa was shared on the socials. His retelling of the events leading up to the repossession, had led the musician to have an Oprah ugly cry, which resulted in what seems to be a turn around in terms of his financially dire situation. The first of which being Makhadzi, who has booked the Vaya Orlando hitmaker as a supporting act for her upcoming one-woman show. 

Now more and more ZAlebs are reaching out and planning to help Dr Malinga. But the biggest surprise was Kabza de Small’s cowering to the pressure. 

Kabza bows to pressure on Dr Maligna after Makhadzi 

During his interview with MacG, Dr Malinga alleged that he had worked with Kabza de Small on new music. But due to his strained relationship with DJ Maphorisa, Kabza would not release the music due to his relationship with DJ Maphorisa. Seemingly, in light of the criticism, Kabza shared one of the alleged songs that he worked on with Dr Malinga. 

But upon hearing the song in question, social media was polarised in terms of the single as a potential hit. A fact which some comments suggested that it was the reason the song was not released and not that it was not due to the beef between Malinga and DJ Maphorisa. 
On the other hand, Kabza faced some backlash for releasing a snippet of the song following Dr Malinga’s suggestion that the KOA was bowing to pressure to prove that he is not DJ Maphorisa’s lackey.
While we might not know where the beef between DJ Maphorisa and Dr Malinga started, we do that in this instance Dr Malinga was the one who was wrong in Acrimony. At the height of his success, Dr Malinga once lambasted Maphorisa resulting in this classic throwback.

Podcast and Chill with MacG continues to prove just how influential it is, despite the continuous calls to have it cancelled. With every ZAlebs that appears, it highlights just how much this is the case. This is as after his interview on the podcast, Dr Malinga has garnered support from ZAlebs and politicians alike.
