Kelly Khumalo broke the internet when she shared pictures of her battered face, reigniting the conversation around violence against women and children in South Africa.
According to her Instagram caption, the singer was allegedly physically abused by an ex (whom she did not name) when her son Christian was just a couple of months old.
“My son was only a couple of months when this happened to me, get out while you still can, close all doors possible and NEVER look back. It only gets worse… #16DaysOfActivism2018,” she wrote in part, encouraging other women who are facing abuse to leave. Take a look at the post below:
Kelly is not the first celebrity to publicly speak out about being an abuse survivor, a couple of years ago, actress, Letoya Makhene was allegedly in an abusive relationship.
