South African rapper, Kwesta, has spoken out about being linked to his ex-manager, Nhlamulo Baloyi’s infamous tweets which were shared earlier today, 21 August 2020. The music executive had taken to Twitter to express his views on Nasty C’s Zulu Man and Cassper Nyovest feat Zola 7’s BongiNkosi which dropped today.
According to Kwesta’s former manager, he believed that both songs did not meet the mark, and in Cassper’s case, he had tarnished Zola 7’s legacy. Tweeps didn’t take kindly to his words, and subsequently began including Kwesta in the controversy.
Unwilling to get involved in Nhlamulo’s mess, Kwesta tweeted, “I need everyone to know that @lavidanota and I no longer work together and haven't been for a while now… I just don't want to speak on his behalf and on things only he has the answers to. I also want future communication routes to be clear. That's respect.”
