The silky voice of Afro-Elegant and soulful singer, Lira's, has already scooped an impressive 10 SAMAs as well as a BET nomination. Now Lira will be raising her already high stock to the next level as she's set to perform alongside American star, Jill Scott, who will be in Johannesburg next month.
It was officially confirmed that Lira will be the supporting artist at Jill Scott's One Night Only concert in Johannesburg on Saturday December 13 at the Coca Cola Dome.
Johannesburg audiences can expect to be treated to the full and intimate Jill Scott experience at the seated concert.
Lira, meanwhile, has enough in her locker to be able to charm any South African crowd. She has performed for Nelson Mandela, at Barack Obama’s second Inauguration, and she opened up the Kick-off concert in 2010 with Hugh Masekela. Never mind the fact that between all this, has toured across the globe too!
We can't think of many artists who deserve to share the stage with the legendary Jill Scott, but Lira is most certainly one of them!
