It's been over 10 years since Murubini Mogale's passing.

The actress, who stole the hearts of many South African viewers on e.tv's Backstage, died in a car accident in January 2002. Marubini was traveling with her then boyfriend, Clint Brink, and her sister - they both survived the crash.

Speaking about how this loss affected her, Lorcia Cooper, who also starred on Backstage, told Thomas Msengana and Pearl Modiadie on Metro FM: "I think for all of us it was, when you're that young you don't think that life is that fragile, you don't see the value, you kinda just going, you know, paint by the numbers."

She added that it was a massive hit for the entire production. "Uhm, being very close friends with Clint at the time, man, I look at him today and the fact that he's still standing blows my mind, and found love and he's happy, that blows my mind."

Lorcia, who stars on Mzansi Magic's hit drama series Lockdown continued: "I think that the cast of Backstage picked themselves up and tried to carry on carrying that flag for people who loved the show, that shows the kind of character that you do have in each individual."
