Bianca first became a hot topic on Twitter after she posted her Miss SA entry on social media and then her tweets from 2014 were dug up. The tweets contained racist remarks and used profanities to drag people on Twitter, back in 2014.
The masses were not pleased with Bianca and the social media stormed that followed forced her to withdraw her entry from the prestigious pageant.
Well, Bianca has found herself trending once again, this time after she posted a package from Sorbet and a message on her stories saying when “one doors closes, 3 million others open”.
Her posts well didn’t sit well with many on Twitter.
The Sorbet Group which sent a package to Bianca released a statement about the press package Bianca received and said this was sent as part of their regular engagement programme.
“We want to assure you that the pack was sent before the derogatory tweets posted by the person came to light. The Sorbet Group would never condone or reward racism or prejudice of any kind, nor would we associate our brand with anyone who is found to do so,” read a statement from Sorbet.
Beauty influencer Mihlali, however, disagreed with Sorbet’s statement, saying that she knows a number of Sorbet influencers but hasn’t seen them snap hampers.
Sorbet alleges to have sent the packages to 73 people on May 18 via courier and had they known about the offensive tweets, the pack would have never been sent out.
Bianca’s tweets came to light on May 19.
