Usually, a radio breakfast show is designed to ease listeners into the day ahead, with soft tunes and light-hearted content. But that was not the case on this morning’s edition of Metro FM’s breakfast show, The Fresh Breakfast., hence Dj Mo Flava let loose on house duo, Black Motion.
It was pretty evident from the interview that Mo Flava had a bone to pick with the duo.
The issue between these two entities started about two years ago, according to Mo Flava, he had booked the multi-award-winning tribal house duo, Black Motion for an event in Bloemfontein, Free State, however, Black Motion were a no-show leaving fans and Mo Flava disappointed in their unprofessionalism.
Mo explained that he had tried to get in contact with the group numerous times, on the day of the event and after to get an explanation about what had happened to them but his attempts failed as the group went all M.I.A on him.
The duo had explained to Mo Flava that they had some family responsibilities to attend to during that time and that there was a clear miscommunication between their then manager who supposedly had to relay the message to Mo Flava.
However, according to Mo, he had spoken to their manager who informed him that he also could not get a hold of the duo and did not know of their whereabouts.
Err...ok.
As the interview proceeded, listeners' picked up on some negative vibes, especially from Mo Flava’s end.
Summary of Black Motion VS Moflava.

Apparently Black Motion was booked by Mo in Bloem 2016 for a gig and they didn't pitch and that's started the beef. So today they explained themselves as to why they never pitched. Which led to Mo being called in.
#FreshBreakfast
#freshbreakfast I really feel like black motion is trying Mara Mo is still pissed and not giving them a chance.

Black Motion should have just called Mo and spoken about it. The fact that there was mosebetsi at home is no excuse because those ceremonies are planned well in advance. You also cant just apologise at a gig nkare it's a by-the-way apology. They are wrong.

On the other end, some listeners hoped both Mo Flava and Black Motion could put this unfortunate incident behind them.
The "beef" between Mo Flavour and Black Motion sounds so childish.

Mo needs to do better. How does one choose between a ritual and a gig.
Why are black people acting like they don't know we're Black? #FreshBreakfast
