
Singer Mpumi Mzobe is breathing a huge sigh of relief and counting her blessings as she has survived a hectic car accident.
The singer took to her Instagram account to share a video of the accident scene where two vehicles including a car they were travelling with could be seen on the scene.
She further urged people to drive carefully and and be careful, “Drive carefully out there guys! Thank God we are all safe.” Her fans were relieved that she survived the accident.
Candy Tsamandebele commented on the post and said, “Let’s thank God for your safety, as we can always replace the material thing.”
Several ZAlebs were involved in accidents last year. A dark cloud hovered over the Amapiano fraternity when Killer Kau and Mpura, lost their lives along with 5 other people. The artists were travelling to a concert in Rustenburg, South Africa on 7 August 2021 when the accident occurred.
According to police who told TshisaLIVE that an official investigation had been launched, they said, “The department of community safety, roads and transport has confirmed the accident that claimed six lives on the N4. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the deceased and we hope they find strength during this difficult period. An investigation is underway to establish the cause of the accident. We are again appealing to people to adhere to the regulations as most accidents happen way past curfew time. Work with our law enforcement officials to ensure you arrive alive.”
Another star to be involved in a car accident was Mfana KaGogo who was on his way to sign a record deal in Johannesburg. He took to social media to share an image of the wrecked vehicle and said he was grateful that he and his team were alive. “Sbonge ukuthi umuntu usaphila ne team yonke ayinalutho. Jehova mkhulu,” he wrote.
Blxckie also took to social media to share that he was recently involved in a car accident. He said they driving to Johannesburg from Lesotho when their front tyre got a puncture.
“What happened is, we were driving from Lesotho to Jozi to catch a 6pm flight to Durban, so I can get to these gigs and whatever.
“When we arrived in Bloemfontein, which is like a lil bit over halfway to Jozi, one of the front tyres got a puncture and the car goes out of control and skids onto the side of the road.”
Fortunately, his team who were traveling with him were not injured in the accident. He described the accident hectic as he said one of the front tyres popped as soon as they arrived in Johannesburg. “… getting that punctured tyre switched took a big chunk out of our time and, even worse, one of the front tyres popped as soon as we got into Jozi.” he said.
