Although their friendship might've come across as random to some, these two ladies have been friends for quite a long time.

What we've also come to appreciate about their friendship is that it stems from their love for the arts and creativity.

In an interview on Drum Magazine, the ladies revealed that they met back in 2002 while they were working on a Duma Ka Ndlovu musical and after that, the ladies got along like a house on fire.

For those who are unaware, Lerato Mvelase actually has a single out titled - Sthingthing featuring Mpumi, Professor DJ Active & Emza which they've been promoting for the past couple of months.

Mpumi and Lerato aren't just friends in creativity, but they're also each other's pillars of strength in this cut-throat industry.

And even though this industry can prove to be difficult, these ladies sure know how to make it look fun.

From their karaoke car moments.

To their occasional road trips to the most beautiful places in the country, when life gives them lemons, both ladies know how to change those lemons into lemonade.

Mpumi has also featured her bestie in her music video for her single - iZulu which was released three months ago.

Come to think of it, their work ethic reminds us of an A to Zee article we wrote about how your friends can help you find job opportunities and the importance of networking with your friends when it comes to your career.

Another interesting fact is that Mpumi is also the God-Mother to Lerato's 5-year old daughter - Nkanyezi.
