After the Tall Ass Mo & Mome scandal involving BET and Pearl Thusi, Mzansi has been on edge because of how disrespected they feel, especially since GBV is such a serious problem in the country. Eventually, Pearl Thusi decided to apologise for being part of the whole mess but not without the Sunday Times running a seemingly paid article on her.

Tweeps were angry with how convenient of a time the article was published and a rather bizarre headline which seemed like a paid-for PR stunt for Queen Sono.
Whatever the publication was thinking to run with that article, we will never know, all we know is that South Africans cannot be fooled and they are even angrier that the headline tried to use DJ Zinhle’s name in it and Pearl Thusi was described as “Yellow” despite her “Brown Skin Girl” Tweet earlier this month.
