Friends, families, and industry colleagues gathered at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre (ICC) in Durban for the late star's final send-off.
As mourners were seated and a speaker was on stage paying tribute to the fallen hero, Zama made a dramatic grand entrance. She sat silently in the front row, and it was obvious they were at loggerheads with Babes Wodumo's family.
Ever since Mampintsha passed on, there has been visible tension between the Maphumulo and Gumede families. There appears to be a feud between the families over Mampintsha's body, with Zama reportedly having been furious after being excluded from the memorial and funeral arrangements.

Mampintsha’s mom arrives late because she is not involved in her son’s send off arrangements, also this term ‘biological mother’, they making her look like a deadbeat mother …. This drama sooo unnecessary!!!!

As much as Mampintsha’s mom is a drama queen kodwa be careful how you treat your parent because that’s exactly how they’ll be treated at your death. #MampintshaFuneral

The way Babes is so annoyed with #Mampintsha ‘s mom! 😔 The camera caught that, and her mom is probably asking her to be calm.

Tweeps have praised her strength. Nhlanhla Caps Majozi wrote "May God give you strength during this extremely difficult time, we mourn in different ways, yilento vele ebesinazi ngayo ninoMampintsha ingoma nomdanso umuntu uphelezelwa ngento abeythanda RIP Shimora
Culture is oppressive and unreasonable. It's women who are usually expected to follow the cultural standards and norms. Babes Wodumo should be allowed to celebrate her husband the way she wants.

Nice to see Babes Wodumo dancing and smiling even though it hurts ... She's a strong woman and I hope she bounces back on her career and be ontop

Mampintsha definitely looking down and smiling from ear to ear, seeing Babes Wodumo and Sponge honoring him in that manner... Dancing and singing like their lives depend on it. A proud husband and a father. Babes is a rock ❤️ #MampintshaMemorialService #MampintshaMemorial
