Twitter was burning this week when Lady Zamar spilled hot tea about her very private relationship with Sjava.

Many things were said by the Collide hitmaker, including the fact that Sjava is married and was an abusive partner during their two-year love affair.

After much anticipation,  the award-winning singer, who has just performed at his sold out show: One Night with Sjava at Time Square – has finally responded to the allegations made by his ex, Lady Zamar.

Although his response is reflective of much PR spin and legal considerations, he acknowledges the allegations and labels them "false".

"I am aware of the false allegations relating to abuse & assault contained in tweets by Yamikani Banda (Lady Zamar) on 29 October  2019 and the media articles based on those allegations. On the advice of my legal advisors, I am pursuing the matter through formal legal channels," he (or his publicist) wrote.

Twitterverse has been visibly divided on the issue of Lady Zamar and Sjava. The combinations of people dating or breaking up and suddenly being introduced as wives are definitely not communicating.

Some are saying Lady Zamar is a bitter ex who is not happy to see Sjava making moves. However, in a country riddled with GBV we have to consider every allegation and allow the law (should Lady Zama or Sjava choose to take it there) to take its course.

This is a developing story, and we hope we can get to the truth sooner rather than later.
