It’s strange, really. We ALL expected Bonang to be there on this of all days for her lifelong friend (well except for those 3 years!) Somizi Mhlongo. However, as we looked through pictures of all the guests who were in attendance at Thursday’s lavish ceremony, we noticed that Queen B was nowhere to be seen. Judging from the comments on social media, we’re not the only people who noticed either.
A number of tweeps questioned where Bonang was until she set the record straight for everybody by revealing that she wasn’t there! Bonang wrote to a tweep who lied about seeing her among guests and said;
As it turns out, Bonang was on Sun Met duties as her brand BNG will be an official sponsor this coming weekend. As a result, she had to be in Cape Town before guests were due to arrive but that didn’t stop her from sending love to Somizi and Mohale before their big day:
