Trouble seems to always follow Thembinkosi and his lover. Last month saw the Orlando Pirates soccer player behind bars for allegedly assaulting Nokhupiwa Mathithibala. Their relationship seems to have ended as reports now refer to her as his ex-girlfriend. This time Mathithibala is the one facing the music as she was allegedly arrested for drunk driving.

Daily Sun has reported that the soccer player's ex-lover was arrested in Sandton, on Thursday, 8 October for driving a white Ford Eco Sport SUV under the influence.
"The suspect was arrested for Driving Vehicle while under the influence of alcohol by JMPD. She was released on bail. Amount is R1000. She will appear in court on the 10th of October," a police officer told the publication.
Nokhupiwa Mathithibala opened a case of assault against the Orlando Pirates midfielder at Midrand Police Station following last month. This is said to be an incident that occurred at the Lorch's residence in Midrand.
Lorch appeared in the Midrand Magistrates Court on a charge of assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm. He was released on R2000 bail and was set to appear again in court on 18 October 2020.
According to Mathithibala's statement, seen by Sunday World, Lorch became angry after she asked him about his whereabouts after leaving her at his house for six hours. The soccer player is said to have slapped Mathithibala and then strangled her, sitting on her whilst she laid on the ground.
"We have been seeing that all isn’t well in the relationship of this couple and we have now decided that enough is enough because the woman is severely injured,” a source told Soccer Laduma.
A police statement reads as follows: “Police in the early hours of Monday morning, 07 September 2020 arrested a 27-year old man for allegedly assaulting a woman at his place of residence in Midrand. It is reported that the suspect physically assaulted the complainant after a verbal exchange between the two, and the victim was allegedly rescued by the suspect's friend who was present at the time of the incident that is related to domestic."
Now, the case against Thembinkosi was postponed to 27 October 2020 for disclosure of the contents of the docket to his legal representative.

The star is not the only one to have been busted for assaulting a lover, actor Presley Chweneyagae has landed on the wrong side of the law as he was allegedly arrested for assaulting his wife at the beginning of this month. According to reports by the Daily Sun, the incident happened on September 5 where he and his wife had an altercation which saw him detained at the Pretoria North police station on common assault charges.
