No one is safe in these Twitter streets, everyone is trying to make money by any means necessary. DJ Maphorisa was just another unfortunate victim of a scam from a Twitter user yesterday.

"U Volunteer now u want money but i didn’t ask u anyway i will pay"

After announcing that he and DJ Shimza would be starting the next big house music show, Madumane thought it was just luck when a Twitter user volunteered to design a poster for Best of Both Worlds. The Twitter user by the name Thami @SavageXFB DM'd Maphorisa to strike a deal.
"Hi
Is Thami I'm the owner of the BBW poster, since DJ Maphorisa is using it on social medias can we have a deal that we use this poster for the event if the event if is happening?

So there can be some form of payment."

What started off as Madumane just hoping that Shimza could play his genre of music for once, ended up in the two famous DJ's organizing a house music event. DJ Maphorisa immediately agreed to the idea and even suggested that Prince Kaybee be invited to also play on the line-up, just not the Amapiano line-up.

"Can we ask Shimza to start playing Amapiano on his sets please, i wanna see something"

"@DjMaphorisa how about a show and we call it “Best of Both Worlds” you curate a piano line up and I curate the Afro Tech line up? Go nyiwe once! Think about it!"

"lets cav #BestOfBothWorlds sounds dope mara bo Shimi ba nakgana damn. Plus add Princess on ur side"
"Name ur best Amapiano Dj this show must to happen, I only need four amapiano best djs Asomblif #BestOfBothWorlds #afroTechMEETSamapiano @Shimza01"

It seems the poor artists made the poster for the event without being really clear whether it is for free or that he was selling it, DJ Maphorisa saw it as a gift since the Best of Both Worlds idea was still in its planning phase and he used it on his social media platforms. Now that the artist has received exposure, he would like a bit of compensation.

DJ Maphorisa seems shocked by all of this but it is only fair that he pays the artist for his work, whether he volunteered or not. The artist may have tricked him to use the poster but he did do a great job nonetheless and he deserves payment for his marketing and design skills.
