Winnie's Sim Card Cloned To Swindle Her Friend

The fraudster allegedly scammed her R8 000

Former Generations Actress Winnie Ntshaba, is the latest Mzansi celeb to fall prey to some heart piercing fraudulent activity. According to Daily Sun the fraudsters cloned her sim card and swindled her friends cash worth R 8000 .

The publication reports that Winnie has since opened a case of fraud at the Honeydew Police Station today. This is after her friends received some hair raising Whatsapp messages from her account informing them that she has been arrested for driving under the influence of liquor.

Speaking to the publication Winnie said " They messaged two of my friends from Durban and Joburg, who sent money because they believed I was in trouble. I don’t want to say much because police are investigating the matter,” she said.
Winnie is adamant that the perpetrators will be nabbed . According to Daily Sun the TV star has reported the incident to Vodacom as well and they are already tackling it .

Winnie apparently could not  make phones calls or use her phone because the network was done which forced her to use an alternative phone and that is where she made the shocking revelations.

“The suspect contacted a few of the complainant’s friends asking for money.The total money paid is R8 000. The complainant went to Vodacom and was told someone called to make a SIM swap on the number, and that is why the phone was deactivated,” reads the statement, in part " she said.
