You Gave Up Your Art For Money
South African television presenter and hip hop authority, Siyabonga Scoop Ngwekazi recently went on his usual rant on Twitter about how most artists’ have given up their creative power for a flashy lifestyle.

An extract from his tweet read: “You gave up your art for a flashy lifestyle and money. “

Scoop is known for a lot of things and one of them includes expressing his true thoughts especially on Twitter. Just last year he famously dragged award-winning rapper, Emtee for the company that he keeps around him as he believed that they were a big part of his de-rail in the music industry.

It’s always interesting to see Scoop dish out the truth, even when it’s a truth that’s hard to swallow.

That’s why we believe that he was the perfect candidate to host MTV’s revamped show – MTV Yo Raps as he sits down with SA’s established and upcoming rappers, who share their honest thoughts about the game and more.

Another highly respected hip hop authority, Osmic Menoe created a workshop seminar whereby various guests were invited to share some wisdom to fellow creatives, especially hip hop artists on how to stretch their brands and diversify their income streams, which will aid the scourge of artists dying poor in South Africa.
