Apart from his role on the Zulu sitcom Emzini Wezinsizwa, Mr Mqwebu also appeared on one of South Africa’s most renowned TV series, Shaka Zulu.
However, it was his role as the strict Bab’ Mkhize on Emzini Wezinsizwa that gained him popularity with South African viewers. Mr Mqwebu is the second Emzini Wezinsizwa actor to pass on this year. In July Bafana Mlangeni who played the role of Sibeko also passed on at the age of 48-years-old.
The cause of Mr Mqwebu’s death is not yet known.
Our condolences go to the Mqwebu family during this trying time.
