Rumours surrounding her bleaching her skin have been going around for years from people that grew up with the star, to her followers on social media, even though the TV host herself never confirmed or denied the rumours.
Images of the star have now resurfaced from her old Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts which “proves” that perhaps the businesswoman has lightened her skin.
In the images, the reality star appears to be way darker than she is now and her nose even appears to be bigger than how it is now, which might just be because of makeup and not necessarily a nose job. The star is posing with several media personalities and actors from Skeem Saam in her before pictures.
Here are three things you might not have known about the media personality:
She was raised by her single mom and grew up in Limpopo province with her siblings
She’s worked on Thobela FM for years and was briefly with Capricorn FM before joining the Housewives franchise.
This is what she said in an interview with Drum Magazine about joining RHOJ: “I’ve always wanted to be on the show. I love the glitz because I grew up the complete opposite.”
Another ZAleb that bleached her skin is actress, Khanyi Mbau!
Media mogul and reality star, Khanyi Mbau has been unapologetic about her bleached skin and has been outspoken about it in several interviews. She stated in an interview with Channel24 that 90% of the colour of her skin is cosmetic, and even revealed that she spends a lot of money on her complexion every month.
The actress posted a series of tweets in 2019 which read:
“In closing I AM STILL THE KHANYI YOU LOVE TO HATE! I am still going 2 give u reasons 2 have constipation. I will rock this boat till the seas dry up. AND YOU WILL BE THERE TO SUPPORT AND WITNESS IT! Y’all forget that we r in this together! U gave me this fame! Write it down MBAU.”
“Now, type in Khanyi Mbau on google search.. go far back as 2005 and see how ur opinions mean nothing to me from when I dated ur fathers, and taught you Botox and that men must buy woman cars etc YALL BEEN TALKING. Things ur idols are doing a decade later.”
It would not be Khanyi Mbau if you didn’t get upset. Crazy how y’all want to control who I date, What car I have, What color I am and What I call my gin."
"Remember that I am not a nanny , I am not here to raise your kids.. find a better role model for them. Secondly I am not a therapist to help you cope in being black or African. Lastly I am a celebrity you have a choice 2love me or hate me ( although I prefer us being cool)."
