The South African Music Awards (SAMAs) are currently taking place at Sun City and are broadcast on SABC 1. Music's prestigious night sees the A-Listers coming out in their numbers to celebrate and honour music's game changers.

What would a huge award ceremony be without a red carpet? ZAlebs had the opportunity to take snaps of some of the best-dressed and not-so-best-dressed celebrities.

Some had a few words to share but others let their fashion statements do all the talking. Ney The Bae, we see you girl!

Here are some of the looks at this years, South African Music Awards:

Tik Toker, actor and now TV presenter Alphi Sipho looking all dapper at the red carpet.
DJ Cleo arrives in style and stealing the show.
Mbali Nkosi and Sandile Mahlangu looking all cute and on point.
Linda Mtoba of course never disappoints.
Fashion icon David Tlale coming in with the black suit.
Generations: The Legacy actor Karabo Maseko is also in attendance.
Anele Zondo came through with the daring look and she shares what inspired her dress for tonight.
Mohale Motaung and his legs came to play.
Minister Fikile Mbalula looks good in black.
Jessica Mbangeni shook things up at the red carpet with her famous chants.

Couple Dumi Mkokstad and his wife Ziphozenkosi complimented each other on the red carpet.
Zakes Bantwini rocked a red number to the red carpet and he also shared a few words on what inspired his red carpet look.

Power couple Priddy Ugly and his wife Bontle Modiselle who looked very delicious, showing other couples how it's done.
Some of the winners of Night 1 include: Chymamusique for Best Dance Album for Musique, marking his very first award, Msaki won the Best Adult Contemporary Album for Platinumb Heart Open, Dladla Mshunqisi's album Umshunqo Reloaded earned him the Best Gqom Album award, Amarato duo won the Best Kwaito Album for Ama Roto Vol.2, Sun-El Musician and Azana walked won Remix of the Year for Uhuru.
