For this week’s performance, the contestants have been given the theme:Joyful Noise, meaning they will be performing their chosen songs with the accompaniment of the Idols choir.
After seeing how bad song choices can affect the public vote, the seven hopefuls have had to put a lot of thought into their song selection.
Their chosen songs for this week are as follows:
Brenden ‘Ben 10’ Ledwaba has chosen Josh Groban’s You Raise me Up while Bunny Majaja will be taking on a Beatles classic, Let It Be.
Christina Williams has made another brave choice with the Alicia Keys hit Fallin and Durban schoolteacher Crystalene Nair will be singing (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman.
Musa Sukwene will be singing Anthony Hamilton’s Pass Me Over whilst competition favourite Sonke Mazibuko hopes to win more votes with a Jimmy Cliff classic Many Rivers to Cross.
The baby of the group, 19-year-old Zoe Zana has chosen the Jackson 5’s Can You Feel It?
