EXCLUSIVE: SA Idols Contestant Nosipho Talks New Single, Finishing Matric And Her Future Plans

She is determined to keep on exploring her gifts and talents.

Former SA Idols top six finalist Nosipho Silinda, is determined to keep on exploring her talents and to spread her wings in the music industry. The petite songstress has released her much-anticipated hit single today, tagged Don't kill my vibe.

In an exclusive interview with ZAlebs, Nosipho who already has a soaring music career said, her new song is all about spreading the message of love, positivity and good vibes.

Nosipho was one of the much-loved contestants on Idols season 14. The talented musician who hails from the dusty streets of Ladysmith, shot to fame after she entered the singing competition, but although she did not clinch the coveted title, she was not deterred from pursuing her music career.

Instead, the 19-year-old is now signed under Gallo Music and her experience in the industry has been nothing short of amazing.

"My experience has been amazing, I have been travelling to gigs, I released my single and I've been learning a lot about the industry generally. "Nosipho had a great run on SA Idols, she became a household name with a legion of fans and now, she has a promising future in the music industry.

The songstress said she has a lot of dreams to accomplish, and she understands how much effort and determination it takes to actualise those goals. Her new single is the song is set to take many by storm.

"People are going to love it because it's about positivity, I released it in a good period because we are on lockdown so, it will send a good message to South Africans"

Nosipho says she draws a lot of inspiration from her Aunt Cici, who is also a multi-talented singer, clearly this music thing runs in the family right? She said Cici has been her guiding light and we can definitely expect a collaboration soon.

"Of course why not, I would really like to work with her because she is amazing, she paved the way for me and she has taught me different things about the industry including how to stay relevant, about royalties, how the game is run and when it comes to my voice she has coached me a lot," says Nosipho.

The talented singer who is currently finishing her Matric said she wants to further her studies in Marketing, just to empower herself with more knowledge on how to manage and build a brand.

Nosipho faced some backlash when she joined the singing competition, for ditching school, but she wasn't bothered by those who spew bile on her plans.

"I had to go back to school because my family also advised me to do so, life has been the same and I'm living a normal life, Yes people can recognise me from the competition but I'm just focusing on my studies and sustaining my brand"

It is no secret that Nosipho has captured the hearts of many South Africans with her soothing voice and her first single, released last year Thembalami, has been topping the charts.

The singer said she would definitely love to spread her wings in the African continent also and her dream collaborations here at home includes Sjava, Blaq diamond and Nasty C amongst others.  She said she is also a big fan of Davido and Tiwa Savage.
