Multi-talented TV actress and KZN beauty Jessica Nkosi is bidding farewell to Mzansi Magic's popular sudser Isibaya after having starred on it for several impressive years. According to Sunday World, a source within the production informed them that her exit would be on a trip to Ghana.
This is not the first actress to leave the show in less than a month. Nomzamo Mbatha and Menzi Ngubane also left the show this month. Their exit also has raised eyebrows and set tongues wagging, about the future of the show.
We were first introduced to the starlet in 2013 when she bagged the role on Qondi, on the show, her character grew and she became a household name and bagged several acting and presenting gigs thereafter.
According to the publication, Nkosi is currently filming her last scenes on the soapie, speaking to the Sunday World, the actress said: "It is true that I’m leaving Isibaya. I’d like to explore the industry and expand on my craft a little further. It was time for me to leave. I’m so grateful to the Isibaya team for helping me establish myself in this industry with such an incredible cast and crew. I’m still on the show and viewers will have to watch to see when my last episode is. To the viewers of Isibaya, I say thank you,” she said.
This is not the first time Jessica has left the show, in a few years she took a break to focus on her theatre work.
We wonder what led to her exit but all the best to her, on her future endeavours.
