Despite how simple it may appear to make judgments about Kgomotso Christopher's character based on what she appears to be doing on the surface, it's evident that she's a bit of an enigma.

Given her beauty, stylish appearance, and eloquence, one could easily mistake her for the character she played on Isidingo (Katlego Sibeko). However, after yesterday's interview on Real Talk With Anele, we've discovered that Christopher is much more than meets the eye.

The 37-year-old actress grew up in Tembisa, on the East Rand, and still returns there frequently because she has family in the area. It was also at this period of her youth that she realized how drawn she was to a career as a performer.

The five things we discovered about her through the interview are listed below.

Work Ethic

Since she was in college, Kgomotso has worked as an actress. She didn't come from a wealthy family and had to pursue a degree that would guarantee her work after graduation, but she didn't let that stop her from pursuing her dream of being an actress.

She phoned one of the Cape Town-based agents she had met during her stay at the National School of the Arts in Braamfontein as soon as she arrived in Cape Town and arranged up a meeting. She was then signed to the agency and began receiving acting jobs, which she had to arrange around her full-time college schedule.

Idols

Kgomotso recalled the story of how she met Jerry Mofokeng when she was in high school, despite the fact that she had already posted it on Instagram a few weeks before.

In the caption, she wrote;

"When I was 17, I was walking from high school to the taxi rank and I bumped into a theatre giant across from the Joburg Theatre. I stopped him, opened my homework diary and asked him to autograph it. He wrote "Reach for the Stars"...his name was Ntate Jerry Mofokeng @jerrymofokeng38 , and tonight that girl is so privileged to be part of his invited guest list on his opening night for "Acceptance" @joburgtheatre. The Universe has brought us together [email protected] #MyColleague #Blessed. #Humbled.

She and Jerry presently play Neo Mokheti and Yvonne Thebe, respectively, in the eTV soap opera Scandal.

Dreams

Young Kgomotso, a dreamer and travel enthusiast, had pondered becoming a diplomat because it was one of the few vocations she felt would allow her to do what she does best while also allowing her to travel.

Fortunately, her abilities as an actress allowed her to achieve her goals without having to stray from what she was plainly intended to do.

Love

Kgomotso met her husband Calvin during her first week at UCT, proving once again that when you know, you know (like Connie and Shona Ferguson), and they have been married for nearly 15 years (married for 13).

He was an exchange student from Princeton who had to return to the United States after 5 months, but he discovered a method to see his girl again (so ladies, if you still need proof that a man will do whatever it takes for the woman he wants and loves, here you go).

Life

Let's Rise, Shine, and Be Thankful for the Chances to Grit!! It's a new week. Another new month, another fresh face.

Finally, we believe Kgomotso has a deep grasp and knowledge of herself, which has a significant impact on how she perceives and interacts with the world.

She is composed, poised, and articulate. All of these things indicate that she is confident in who she is and what she has to give the world.

As noted in her Instagram bio, she also takes great satisfaction in being "the educated actress." Kgomotso has a number of degrees, and it is possible that this is why she is the person we see her as.

Whatever the reasons for her awesomeness may be, all we know is that she exudes the kind of enthusiasm we'd like to have when we're older.
