Khaya and Sine Mthethwa Mark Their First Wedding Anniversary

Gospel artist and former Idols SA champion Khaya Mthethwa is celebrating a special personal occasion with his wife, fitness influencer Sine Mthethwa: the couple have officially completed their first year of marriage.

Khaya marked the anniversary on Instagram with an elegant image of the pair wearing coordinated white outfits for summer. Alongside the photograph, he shared a loving tribute to Sine and placed their faith at the heart of his message.

“Happy first anniversary, my love,” he wrote. “May God remain at the heart of our marriage, keeping us safe, leading us and granting us many more wonderful years together.”

After a full 365 days as husband and wife, the singer said he was deeply thankful for both Sine and the relationship they have built. “I’m so thankful for you and for the love we have,” he added. “I love and value you beyond what words can express, sthandwa sami.”

Khaya also raised a toast to what lies ahead for the couple, writing: “Cheers to us and all that God has planned for our future.”

The anniversary post quickly became a virtual party, with fans, media figures and fellow entertainment-industry personalities filling the comments with messages of congratulations. Many celebrated the pair’s journey over the past year.

The occasion signals a happy, faith-driven chapter for the Idols SA winner. Before marrying Sine, Khaya wed 2016 Miss South Africa Ntandoyenkosi Kunene in 2017. Their marriage ended in divorce in late 2019, two years after their wedding, and they have a son together.

Since beginning their life together, Khaya and Sine have regularly offered followers snapshots of their relationship online, sharing moments from birthdays, Father’s Day getaways and other family occasions, often highlighting the role faith plays in their union.
