Mzansi's award-winning prison drama series, Lockdown is set to grace our TV screens again on DSTV channel 161, on 6 April. The new season is set to leave viewers begging for more and on the edge of their collective seats.
The series moved to Showmax this year for season 5, but avid viewers of it on Mzansi Magic, are set to be treated with the exciting new season.
Set in the dreary Thabazimbi Women’s Correctional Facility, the award-winning production had entertained Mzansi for over four years and now, the show is back to give its loyal fans a one-of-a-kind experience with the upcoming fifth season on Mzansi Magic.
Known for its cliffhangers, plot twists and emotional roller-coaster, Lockdown is famous for boasting a powerful, all-female lead cast and the roster will be even more impressive for Season 5.
As Season 5 picks up, Masebata’s cult is no longer in power. Arch-rivals Mazet and Tyson are running the prison yard together, for now. Governor Deborah Banda is under pressure from the Department of Correctional Services, after one death too many at the prison, and Monde is trying to make things right with Vicky.
