Actress Lorraine Moropa has officially unveiled her newest on-screen persona, Kenosi Molefe, sharing the first glimpse with her Instagram followers while looking back on the road that brought her to the part. In her post, she also expressed heartfelt thanks for what she described as God’s steady faithfulness throughout the process.
Alongside the announcement, Lorraine wrote, “NEW CHARACTER ALERT. Meet KENOSI MOLEFE. A Promise Kept.”
She then added a reflection rooted in Scripture: “God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should change His mind. Does He speak and then not act? Does He promise and not fulfill?”—Numbers 23:19.
Continuing, Lorraine said, “After months of waiting, tonight I finally get to introduce the woman I’ve had the privilege of bringing to life. I can’t wait for you to meet her.”
She also shared where viewers can catch the premiere: “Catch me as Kenosi Molefe on Amalanga Awafani tonight at 18:30 on SABC 1, with the repeat at 21:00 on SABC 2. Modimo o tshepehile.”
The emotional post reads like a personal milestone for Lorraine, with the actress framing the casting as something she had been anticipating for a long time—crediting her faith with helping her endure the waiting period.
Lorraine has already developed a strong profile as one of South Africa’s emerging talents, with audiences praising her work across both television and film.
Her newest role is set to add another major chapter to her career, as she joins one of SABC 1’s well-known weekday dramas.
Although Lorraine has not revealed much about what Kenosi Molefe will bring to the plot, fans are clearly ready to see how the character will disrupt—or reshape—what viewers can expect from the storyline.
