Miss SA’s Homecoming Tour Crosses Paths With The Royal King

Lalela set her feet in the Royal Grounds

Miss South Africa Lalela Mswane visited Royal Zulu King Misuzulu ka Zwelithini during her homecoming tour that started Friday, 4 February.

As reported on News24, Lalela arrive at a welcoming ceremony at King Shaka International Airport with King Cetshwayo District Mayor in Richards Bay, His Worship Cllr. Ntuli. The queen’s tour was followed by her attendance at the class of 2021 Matric Awards Richards Bay.
The 24-year old Miss Universe second runner-up visited the king at KwaKhangela Mankengane Royal Palace in Nongoma. The reigning queen told Daily Sun that the main reason for her meeting the king was to thank him.
“I want to say thank you to King Misuzulu and Zulu royal family. Who am I? The little girl from Sokhulu Village is Miss South Africa. Sometimes I don’t believe that I’m Miss South Africa. I’m proud of the KZN people because I know they love me,” she told Daily Sun.

Lalela ended the tour by visiting her home town, in KwaSokhulu to a homecoming event at KwaSokhulu. Her stop was at KwaSokhulu Sport Ground where she met her supporters and later proceeded to her family home where she was bred and born KwaMswane in Mtubatuba.

King Misuzulu told it to Instagram to post a video of Lalela’s visit. The king captioned the video “Together we are strong’’.
Viewers started commenting, “She looks Royalty, might as well propose sir ningafanelana.

 Others commented, “Ndabezitha thatha nangu miss South Afica khona into engiyibonayo Mageba”.


This was Lalela’s  first visit home after bening crowned Miss South Africa and placing third at Miss Universe. 

Commenting about her homecoming, Miss SA said  it was a warm welcome she received at King Shaka International Airport. The Miss South Africa Organisation shares  photos of Lalela's grand arrival at the airport on Instagram.

Lalela also commented, "I'm truly excited to be returning back home after the immense support I've received during my reign and build up to Miss SA and Miss Universe competition, particularly because we haven't had the crown in KwaZulu-Natal since 2008, so it just makes it that much more special And for little girls in KwaZulu-Natal to know that if I can do it, so can they.”

The queen posted all her three home coming visits on Instagram with different captions of appreciation for all her different visits.

For home coming day 1 she posted, “The magic thing about home is that it feels good to leave, and it feels even better to come back.”

Homecoming 2 caption was written, “Home is the starting place of love, hope and dreams.”
 Home coming 3 she wrote , “Home is where love resides, memoeies are created, friends always belong , and laughter never ends.”
