Businesswoman and reality star Mome Mahlangu is doing her bit to help underprivileged girls who are unable to afford sanitary towels.

It may be lockdown across the across but that doesn't mean anything for women's menstruation cycles and with many pockets having been affected as well.

Mome on Friday shared how not having pads due to forgetting to buy them still gets her frustrated at her age and finding out that there are kids who don't have them this made her want to help.

Through her foundation MsMomeWellnessFoundation, the reality tv star has donated a number of masks and sanitary pads to those in need.

“I just don’t make it public knowledge but this pandemic has changed the world economy drastically, the locals are crying for help, they don’t have funds especially right now. I had to find a way to contribute these essentials to girls in the township. I can only imagine the girl who can’t afford to buy pads right now cause parents are not receiving monthly and weekly wages,” Mome told Sunday World.

Mome through her foundation has donated to areas in Soweto, Alexandra, and Tembisa.

“We don’t know when things will get back to normal, sanitizers and sanitary pads are now an expensive essential product that my company MrsMomeWellness will continue to contribute to the disadvantaged,” Mome added.
