Ghanaian dancehall sensation Stonebwoy has recently released his new album Anloga Junction and Mzansi's very own Nasty C has a feature on the album.
The coolest kid in Africa features on the track Bow Down, which is the lead single for the South African market and is already being playlisted on several stations across the country.
Stonebwoy was meant to be in Mzansi for a stop as part of his African tour, however, due to COVID-19 was postponed, but thanks to technology ZAlebs was able to catch up with about the collaboration.
Bow Down is a song that pushed Stonebwoy creatively, as this is the first the artist has worked on such a Hip Hop-inspired beat.
The record was recorded in Ghana when Nasty C was in the country in April 2018.
Stonebwoy explains that he decided to have a hip-hop infused song as he always knew he wanted to work with the South African rapper.
"I didn’t think of a feature before recording the song I had the original theme which was to have bits and pieces of all forms of sounds that will be on the album. So when I created the hip hop afro-beats infused type of one, Nasty C came to mind because his style actually appeals to me when it comes to a sound like that,' says the rapper.
The musician further tells ZAlebs that the "song was cooked right in my home in my studio and was a beautiful experience cooking that song and right from the scratch and in two hours we had the song done."
Nasty C is not the only South African artist Stonebwoy has worked with, in 2018 he released Wame with Cassper Nyovest.
Stonebwoy on his album Anloga Junction, which hit 10 Million Streams in 10 days also features US singer Keri Hilson amongst more.
