American R&B heavyweights Brian McKnight, SWV, and All-4-One are set to bring their signature sound to South Africa this October as part of the Ultimate R&B Experience Tour. The multi-artist outing will land in the country with performances scheduled at major venues across two cities.
The tour begins with a stop at GrandWest Arena in Cape Town on October 28, before moving to Pretoria. Fans in the city will get the chance to see the stars at SunBet Arena at Times Square on October 30 and October 31, with two nights of live music planned.
Remoakantse Holdings managing director Thabiso Mogashwa described the project as a new addition to the company’s event calendar, explaining that the group has been at the forefront of soul and R&B concert culture for more than a decade. He said this year they chose to launch the Ultimate R&B Experience Tour as a fresh “asset” for the lineup.
For the first edition, Mogashwa said the aim was to bring together “legendary” R&B icons, naming Brian McKnight, All-4-One, and SWV as the headline acts. He also tied the tour to the company’s broader milestones, noting that 2026 will mark 14 years since Remoakantse Holdings was established.
In the same statement, Mogashwa added that the goal is to host 14 concerts throughout 2026, positioning the Ultimate R&B Experience Tour as part of a larger plan for the year ahead.
This week, Remoakantse Holdings is also building momentum with another major outing: the Boyz II Men tour, kicking off at GrandWest Arena on Wednesday. The schedule continues with dates at SunBet Arena on Friday and Saturday, keeping the focus firmly on international R&B acts during the current run of events.
Mogashwa further pointed to audience demand as a key driver behind the push for more overseas performers to take the stage locally. He said the appetite for soul and R&B in South Africa remains strong, particularly among older music lovers who value the experience of hearing these artists live. He added that many attendees are especially drawn to the nostalgic sound of the 1980s and 1990s, which continues to resonate in the live setting.
