Generations: The Legacy Star Mondli Thusi Hospitalized After Pitbull Attack

Mondli Thusi is reportedly in critical condition after a brutal attack by two pitbulls outside his home, with the actor said to be fighting for his life following the incident in Boksburg, Gauteng.

Thusi, who is widely recognized for playing Isaac on Generations: The Legacy, was allegedly targeted by the dogs while he was outside his residence, according to reports.

The attack is said to have occurred on 4 May inside a residential complex. Sources claim the incident took place when Thusi was outside the property and was bitten by the pitbulls.

MDN News reports that Thusi was rushed to Tambo Memorial Hospital in Boksburg, where he remains under medical care as he recovers from serious injuries.

People familiar with the situation say his condition is still serious, even though he is reportedly stable.

One source shared, “Things are not okay for him; he is still fighting for his life, even though he is stable.”

As details continue to emerge, questions are also being raised about accountability, with conflicting claims surfacing around who owned the dogs involved in the attack.

In one account, the dog owner is said to be disputing responsibility, claiming that only one of the pitbulls was his, while the other animal was reportedly removed by the SPCA.

This development has added to the confusion among those following the case.

“The issue with his case is that the owner of the two pitbulls is trying to be clever and denies owning both dogs. He is now claiming that he only owns one pitbull and that the other was taken by the SPCA,” the source said, adding that concerns remain about whether the animals were properly secured.

Legal representatives are also reportedly involved, with reports indicating that correspondence has taken place between Thusi’s lawyers and the dog owner as the situation escalates.

For now, the actor’s ability to work has been significantly impacted as he concentrates on recovery.

Thusi himself addressed the ordeal briefly, confirming that the incident occurred and that he is still recovering.

In a voicenote, he said, “I’m still in so much pain, but I’m getting better by the day. I cannot share many details since the matter is being handled by my lawyers, but I can confirm that the incident did happen.”

Gauteng police spokesperson Colonel Noxolo Kweza confirmed that an investigation is in progress.

“I can confirm that we are investigating a case of keeping a ferocious dog, following an incident where a man was attacked and bitten by dogs.”
