Two-time Grammy winner Kehlani is set to make a major return to South Africa next December, announcing a stop on The Kehlani World Tour with arena dates in Pretoria and Cape Town as part of a larger North America and Europe run.
Kehlani’s South Africa arena dates
The tour announcement was confirmed by Big Concerts, with Kehlani scheduled to perform at SunBet Arena, Times Square in Pretoria on 15 December. She will then take the stage at Grand Arena, GrandWest in Cape Town on 17 December.
- Pretoria: SunBet Arena, Times Square — 15 December
- Cape Town: Grand Arena, GrandWest — 17 December
Special guest and support act
Singer-songwriter Destin Conrad has been tapped as a special guest for both South Africa performances. Conrad, a Tampa-born and Los Angeles-based R&B artist, will also open the shows for Kehlani.
Conrad previously toured with Kehlani, stepping in as the supporting act on her Crash World Tour during 2024–25.
Why this tour matters for Kehlani’s current era
Kehlani’s December dates mark a step up in scale from earlier South African appearances, moving from festival billing to full arena shows across two major cities. The singer has already proven she’s got local momentum: in October 2022, she headlined Rocking the Daisies at Darling Cellars, located on the West Coast outside Cape Town.
The new run is in support of Kehlani’s self-titled fifth album, released earlier this year. The record debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200, shifting 69,000 equivalent album units in its first week—described as the biggest opening for an R&B album by a woman in 2026.
In addition to the Billboard 200 performance, the album entered at the top spot on the R&B Albums chart and became Kehlani’s third top-five entry on the Billboard 200.
“Folded” fuels the momentum
A key driver behind the tour’s momentum is “Folded,” which earned Kehlani Grammy wins for Best R&B Performance and Best R&B Song. The track also became the longest-running No. 1 on the Billboard Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart history, spending more than 17 weeks at the summit.
On top of its chart success, “Folded” spread rapidly across social media, with particular attention on TikTok.
South Africa’s packed international touring calendar
Kehlani’s arrival lands during a busy year for international touring in South Africa, with several major acts already confirmed on local stages.
- Boyz II Men: three performances across Cape Town and Pretoria in May, including a Cape Town show at Grand Arena that sold out
- NE-Yo: Grand Arena, GrandWest on 17 October and SunBet Arena Pretoria on 18 October
- Maxwell and Tamia: both expected in August, with Maxwell’s set positioned as part of a 30-year career retrospective
- Jill Scott: among the international artists with confirmed South African dates this year
Kehlani’s December stop is the latest addition to that lineup, bringing her Grammy-winning era to arena audiences after a festival headline in 2022.
