Masechaba Mposwa Shares Emotional Photos of Traditional In-Law Induction

Celebrities

South African media personality Masechaba Mposwa has offered a deeply personal look at married life after sharing that she was formally welcomed into her husband’s family during a special weekend ceremony.

The communications specialist and broadcaster—who married musician Ntethe in 2024—turned to Instagram to share a sequence of emotional photos. In the images, she appears dressed for the occasion as she carries out traditional makoti responsibilities as part of the family welcome and induction.

Alongside the pictures, Masechaba reflected on what marriage means to her, explaining that it’s more than a union between two people. In her view, it becomes a connection between families and even future generations.

“Being welcomed into my husband’s family this weekend was such a joyful and humbling experience. To be embraced, guided, and officially inducted by my in-laws is a blessing,” she wrote.

She went on to add that she doesn’t see marriage as something limited to romance alone. “Marriage is not only about two people coming together – it’s about family. It’s about knowing each other deeply. I knew my husband before I said yes. I know his roots, I know his tribe – and I thank God everyday that I am married into such a warm, loving, and supportive family,” she continued.

She also closed the post with a touching dedication to Ntethe, writing: “Ndiyakuthanda Faku @official_ntethe. Nkosi. Nyawuza.”

Fans and other well-known faces quickly flooded the comments with congratulations and messages of support. Many praised the couple for honoring their culture, holding onto family values, and keeping tradition at the center of their relationship.

Since their wedding in 2024, Masechaba and Ntethe have largely kept details of their marriage private, while still occasionally sharing intimate moments and heartfelt tributes with their followers.
