Pam Mlunjwana Claps Back at Dating Rumors Involving Tolu Arokodare and Mihlali

Celebrities

Dubai-based influencer Pam Mlunjwana, 36, has stepped in to respond to fresh chatter about a possible romance involving her ex, Nigerian footballer Tolu Arokodare, and South African creator Mihlali Ndamase, insisting she’s fed up with being pulled into the story.

Key takeaways

  • Pam Mlunjwana spoke out via Instagram Stories on Monday after renewed relationship rumours resurfaced online.
  • She denied any “girl versus girl” drama connected to Tolu Arokodare and claimed she’s being used in gossip narratives.
  • Pam alleged that the rumours started during an earlier Dubai trip, when she says Mihlali “pretended” to date the footballer.
  • She also claimed that Mihlali’s former partner, businessman Leeroy Sidambe, allegedly contacted her while the Tolu link was circulating.
  • Pam posted a screenshot from March last year as part of her claims.
  • Mihlali and Tolu have not officially confirmed a relationship, and Mihlali has not directly responded to Pam’s allegations.

Pam addresses the rumours—and the “weird” factor

In her Instagram Stories, Pam said the situation has become “weird,” adding that she’s tired of seeing her name dragged into headlines and internet speculation tied to the pair. She framed her response as a way to clear up the ongoing narrative and shut down the idea that she’s part of any rivalry.

She began by dismissing the gossip as something that has always felt off, then moved into a longer explanation focused on rejecting the notion of tension between women over the footballer.

Claims about a prior Dubai trip

Pam alleged that the link between Mihlali and Tolu first gained traction during an earlier visit to Dubai. She said Mihlali allegedly acted as though she were dating the footballer during that trip.

According to Pam, Mihlali purportedly “pretended” to be buying a Birkin bag from a store while Tolu was expected to post or otherwise clarify the situation. Pam claimed that Tolu had to publicly state that Mihlali was not his girlfriend, that he does not live in Dubai, and that he did not buy the Birkin bag Mihlali appeared to claim.

Pam said she hopes that this time around, Mihlali will finally follow through on what she described as repeated “pretending,” suggesting that the earlier performance didn’t match reality.

Frustration at being used in gossip

Beyond the back-and-forth between the influencers, Pam said she’s especially irritated by the fact that she keeps getting mentioned in stories about the alleged relationship. She wrote that she doesn’t like being used to make things “juicy” and “salacious,” and emphasized that she doesn’t want attention from gossip.

She also made a further allegation that Leeroy Sidambe—described as Mihlali’s former boyfriend—allegedly sent her direct messages while Mihlali was supposedly being linked to Tolu. To support her claims, Pam shared a screenshot dated March last year.

Pam added a pointed line to her argument, saying that if the person she described as the “real boyfriend” were truly involved in a serious way, he would have reached out to her with the level of commitment she implies.

Mihlali stays silent publicly, Pam continues with her stance

Despite the ongoing online discussion, Mihlali has not directly addressed Pam’s statements or the rumours about her relationship with the football star. Instead, Pam said Mihlali continued posting from what she described as a luxurious getaway, including photos of two Birkin bags shared to her Instagram Stories.

Pam, however, made it clear she does not want to be pulled into any “tug of war” storyline. She wrote that “girl versus girl” drama over a man is “very ew,” and added that she wants to be associated with her brand instead of internet conflict.

At this stage, neither Mihlali nor Tolu Arokodare has officially confirmed that they are dating.
