Vusi Nova Delays ‘Here To Stay’ EP Launch Citing Safety Fears in March

South African vocalist Vusi Nova has pushed back the launch plans for his eagerly awaited Here To Stay EP, explaining that the decision came down to safety as the country braces for anticipated demonstrations in March.

The movement behind the expected unrest, March and March, has called for public protests focused on immigration enforcement and border safeguarding.

With the potential for large gatherings, organisers and businesses in multiple locations have reportedly tightened security and revised schedules as a precaution, and Nova says his team is responding in the same spirit.

EP launch reshuffle

  1. Vusi Nova announced the postponement in an Instagram update on Monday, citing the safety of fans and everyone involved.
  2. In his message, he said the decision was made after “anticipated marches and consultations,” placing the well-being of supporters, performers, and the local community above all else.
  3. Even though the live launch event will be delayed, the Here To Stay EP itself will still arrive as planned on 1 July 2026.
  4. Ticket holders do not need to exchange anything: all previously purchased tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled date.
  5. The new event date is 24 July 2026, at the same venue where the original launch was set to happen.

Nova’s statement shared that he and his team are “pleased to confirm” the updated day, adding that the delay gives fans additional time to learn the tracks—so the group can sing along together at the new date.

Alongside the post, he also addressed the emotional weight of the choice, admitting it was not an easy call but stressing that the protection of supporters, partners, and collaborators would always come first.

He closed by thanking his followers for their understanding and patience, while promising to mark the milestone later this month—now with the celebration set for 24 July—together with the music and lyrics fans will have time to rehearse in advance.
