Nomsa Buthelezi melted our hearts this past weekend when she shared a touching tribute to her daughter. Can we all have a mother like her?
Award-winning TV presenter and actress Nomsa Buthelezi has been in the entertainment business for over a decade now. The actress has simply become a household name with her impeccable acting prowess.
Nomsa came out about her sexual orientation after many years of being in the closet due to fear of being an outcast or being stigmatized. In September she tied the knot with her long-time partner Zandile Shezi. The intimate traditional wedding was attended by their close friends and families.
Speaking to TshisaLive last month, Nomsa revealed that her children have had to develop a thick skin to homophobic slurs for being bullied about their mother’s sexuality. The actress also revealed that she opened up about everything to her children and they have accepted her.
In a heartfelt Facebook post yesterday, the Gomora Diva gushed over her daughter and gave her a piece of advice, she wrote:
“Dear Daughter as i told you the world has broken people…..they will will Try to use you to feel better. MY DAUGHTER THEY ARE DUST BLOW THEM AWAY❤ FROM YOUR MOM NOMSA “GOMORADIVA”
Having her children accept her has given her the courage to stop being a pretender and live her life freely.
