Bonnie Mbuli has opened up about her divorce. The True Love magazine July cover star and actor Sisanda Henna divorced in 2013.
Speaking to the monthly magazine, Bonnie said: “When we got married, we went for premarital counselling. We prayed about it, had expectations, and made a pact with each other. Even when we had our challenges, we still remembered our challenges. But after many challenges, we decided it was time. We left our marriage in exactly the same way we went into it.”
She said despite everyone saying divorce is difficult, she and Sisanda had to find a way to make it amicable and be friends. “We now know when things are getting out of hand, and it’s easier to stop it…”
The actress, who also co-hosts SABC3’s Afternoon Express, said she’s not a single mother. “My kids’s father is the most active dad ever. We are co-parenting, and he is there for them whenever they need him…”
