There is no better time than to be a South African right now. Not only has our home-girl Rolene Strauss been crowned Miss World, but the South African rugby team also showed off with their 26-17 win against New Zealand. In the words of our Minister of Sports and recreation Mr Fikile Mbalula South Africans were a bunch of winners this weekend.
Another bunch of winners we mistakenly overlooked was South Africa’s first ever X Factor winners. The group named Four, came up on top as the victors of this first season, walking away with the grand prize of R750 000. This prize also includes a Sony Music recording and management contract, R300 000 in cash and their very own personal sound studio.
“It means the world to us! We have been working very hard towards this moment. We’re excited for the future and this is only the beginning!!” said Four
