Da Les wins Tropika Island of Treasure

  1. Did you think you’d win the Island of Treasure competition; it was a fairly difficult one?

I actually didn’t think I’d win, I thought I was going to be the first person to be voted off.I just thought I was never going to get the chance for people to get to know me – it just felt like I’d be judged from the get go but yeah here I am now (laughing)

  1. What has been your most memorable experience whilst in Jamaica shooting the video?

One of my most memorable parts was definitely spending time with Reeva Steenkamp, she had this big fear of heights and when we took part in the foofy-sliding challenge we really just got over our fears and enjoyed ourselves it was awesome fun.We kept on laughing at Phuti Khomo because she was just horrified but strange enough she had jumped off a cliff in a previous challenge so it was weird.

  1. If anyone wanted to become a contestant of this show what’s the first thing you’d advise them not to do?

I’d advise them to experience all that there is to experience in the competition, you have a choice to do or not do certain challenges but I feel by not doing some of the challenges does a bit of a disservice to you. It’s a once in a life time experience so just leave all the fears at home and just try something new and most importantly have fun.

  1. Is Les planning on balling out with his new prize?

Of course! I mean I’m Hip Hop man, we’re about to do something spectacular! (Laughing) You know I definitely want to celebrate. When I was there with AKA he got voted off and he’s like my little brother so he just encouraged me to win it for the both of us as a team and you know it’s for Hip Hop!. Plus we’re about to shoot the new video for our new single called “Kontrol” so it’s definitely going to be an awesome time and we’re just going to toast to blessings, I feel really blessed and I’m quite humbled by all of this.

  1. Speaking about singles and songs, can your fans expect a new solo project from you anytime soon?

Definitely I’m currently working on a bunch of songs right now so I’m planning on doing a mixtape soon titled “Mandela money” and then I’ve got my album which I haven’t titled yet. The album might be released on the 26th of July while that album drops I’m going to be in America preparing to record my next album which I’m planning for an international release for next year so I’m quite excited about that and hopefully all plans fall into place.
