These 10 celeb couples are our new rolemodels

It’s Valentine’s Day today and for many, it’s a terrible time of the year. This is the time for love, romance and cute gifts but also a time  for many couples to question their love affairs and their romances. I have decided to distract you from your own lives for just a second and instead focus on celebrating some of our favourite local and international couples who, let’s face it, deserve to shout out. They are great rolemodels and absolutely adorable couples.

1. Linah and Bheki Ngcobo (also known as MamEbony and Ihashi Elimhlophe).

They have been married for many years and they are also the parents of Vusiwe, Ntombi, Nkosinathi, and Jabu Ngcobo (also known as Amaponi). They are legends in the maskandi music scene and their love keeps growing strong.

2. Basetsana and Romeo Khumalo.

3. Precious and Patrice Motsepe.

These two couples make it in the list simply because the men married smart women. They best fit the ‘beauty with brains’ category. These

two women are powerful business women and have always had a heart to lend a helping hand when it comes to developing raw talent and giving ordinary South Africans a chance to be great. Good couples who do good!

4. Michelle and Barack Obama.

This couple is a living testimony to the saying that says, ‘age ain’t nothing but a number’. Just to recap if you didn’t know: Mr. President was the first lady’s mentor at a law firm when they met. Mrs. Obama mentioned in an interview with Steve Harvey that Barack told her that he would marry her one day and that he will become president of the United States of America. Do you think he kept his word?

5. Unathi and Thomas Msengana.

6. Melanie and Zwai Bala.

These two couples took their time before rushing off to the aisle. I wish many of us could learn from this. When it’s meant to be, it will be. It is okay to take your time before you decide on whether or not you want to spend your entire life with someone. Let’s try to avoid unnecessary divorces.

7. Angelina and Brad Pitt.

I have always been a fan of this couple, even when the love triangle that left Jennifer Aniston heart broken was still going on, they stuck to their desires and are steadily building their own happily ever after.

8. Thami Mnqolo and Jo-Anne Raynekke.

Oh! They make me believe true love really exists. The actor and actress have been together since before the fame and are still growing

strong.

9. Dj Zinhle and AKA

10. Dj Fresh and Thabiso Sikwane.

Both couples are expecting babies this year and are great rolemodels too. AKA and Zinhle have proven that you don’t have to flash your relationship everywhere but you can still be happy without doing so. Dj Fresh confirmed in a local newspaper that their unborn baby is a boy and they have already named him Thato. Halala!

When some of you rush off to the cinemas to watch Fifty Shades of Grey on this Valentine’s Day, others will be at home nursing broken hearts like Casper Nyovest who was recently dumpt by Amanda du Pont. Shame, askies to you all.

Enjoy nonetheless.
