Have you ever been fired within three months of taking a new job? It has to be the worst feeling ever and one person who’s feeling it is DJ Zeal. It’s been reported that the radio DJ, whose real name is Zandile Dladla, has been fired by Gagasi FM.
According to Move Magazine, the former Metro FM DJ was deemed as too stubborn for the station.
A source told the magazine: “The problem with her is that she was too stubborn, full of herself and wanted to do things her own way. She had no respect for her colleagues. She wanted to be her own boss and didn’t take orders from the management.”
The source added that Zeal had a meeting three weeks ago without the support of the station’s management. Management then made a disciplinary move by suspending her for a week.
The station’s spokesperson Khulekani Shandu confirmed that Zeal’s contract has been terminated. “Gagasi FM has released Zandile Zeal Dladla from her contract as a station presenter with immediate effect.”
Zeal hosted “Zeal For Life” Monday to Thurdays between 10pm and 1am.
