Has any highly anticipated album in recent times managed to release without being leaked to the public a few weeks before hand? No, is your answer. Drake may have hoped his upcoming album, Nothing Was The Same, would break the trend and would not reach the masses until its official release on the 24th of September. Sorry Drizzy, no such luck there. The album has leaked and has been the talking point of all international and local gossip news outlets.
Following a year of high profile releases in rap music, which included Kanye’s Yeezus and Jay Z’s Magna Carta Holy Grail, Drake’s Nothing Was The Same is the next album that hip hop heads will have been looking forward to you. Following the release of the track list last week, anticipation was higher than ever. With 8 days to go until the release though, the album has leaked and is currently being shared online faster than Miley Cyrus’ new music Video.
Along with the entire album; the track, “Pound Cake/Paris Morton Music 2” Has been leaked. The track features Jay Z and discusses the pair’s progression from their high school, as well as the challenges of being outcasts then and the main men now. Have a listen and give us your thoughts?
