Erykah Badu stole the show with a barnstorming performance at the Cape Town International Jazz Festival last weekend. We all thought she was en route to Australia but it’s been revealed that Ms Badu wants to leave her stamp on South Africa one last time before departing. After enamouring the Cape Townian crowds with her music, Erykah is ready to turn up with the finest Joburg socialites and the hottest Jozi crowds.
This Friday, catch #DJLowDownLorettaBrown aka #ErykahBadu aka @FatBellyBella @Taboo_jhb. I’ll be your MC! Chea!

Yesterday, rumors were rife that DJ Low Down Loretta Brown (Badu’s DJ alter ego) would be playing a set at an undisclosed venue. These rumors began to gain traction as the day progressed until it was officially confirmed that Loretta Brown will be tearing it up at Taboo on Friday the 4th of April!
ZAlebs absolutely had to get involved (And now we’re trying our very best to get our readers involved, watch this space!) and we look forward to raising the heat with one of the biggest names in music on Friday night.
Just looking at the poster below was enough to get palates wet; we hope you’re as excited as we are, and we certainly hope to see you there!
